How many times have you thought of that revolutionary idea that will change everything? You couldn’t sleep because you couldn’t get it off of your mind. However, weeks, months and even years passed and it just sort of fizzled out. What happened? Was it not a revolutionary idea? If you are a Christian leader, you may have even wished the thought away with this statement, “I guess it just wasn’t God’s will.”
Actually, it may very well have been God’s will, you just didn’t do what needed to be done to see His will fulfilled in your life. We all have great ideas, but the problem is we aren’t sure how to make it happen! Think about it. What is the one thing that you really want to see happen in your life, family, business or church? Then, map out a personal innovation strategy – a conscious, deliberate, thoughtful set of actions that will get the desired result.
Having a strategy is about figuring out where you want to go and how to prepare yourself to deliver results that will impact the world! Robert Tucker writes, “Nobody but you is responsible for your reputation or where you’ll be in five years. I know, I know – we are Christians and we are to be “Spirit-led.” That is absolutely true. However, the God of the Universe, the Alpha and Omega, the “Beginning” and the “End”, is just creative enough to give you the steps to see His perfect will fulfilled in your life. In fact, His Word says, “A good man’s steps are ordered by God.”
Stop using “I’m led by the Spirit” as an excuse to not actually follow through with the vision and dream that God has placed in your life. Having a God-idea is an awesome creation, but failing to deliver is an abomination!
amen PA! love it!
